The Art of B-Sides
Our goal is to be a role model for art and culture professionals. We therefore advocate inclusion, openness and the courage to try new things. We are happy to share our principles, so that they can be used by anyone who wants to follow them as well.
❶ Cooperative
We promote networking and community. We share our know-how with each other, support each other and don’t exclude anyone. We offer assistance and learn from our exchange.
→ We’re better together
❷ Sensitivity
We act thoughtfully and reflect on how we work. We always have a goal in mind and a desire to add value if we’re doing something. Our actions should make a difference and should be sensible. Sometimes this impacts only for a few, sometimes we affect a greater number of people.
→ Reflect and generate values
❸ Responsible
We act in a socially, economically and ecologically sustainable manner. We make our decisions consciously and responsibly. In order to be able to achieve something long term, we do research and try to learn constantly.
→ Consciously and reasonably
❹ Respectful
Respect is the basis for collective progress. We meet at eye level and see each other as equal. Every opinion should be heard and every person should be given a chance. Trust is important to us. Our interaction is open to dialogue, non-violent and equal.
→ Together not against each other
❺ Brave
We dare to take risks and accept failure. We don’t get discouraged by mistakes – we learn from them. We tackle the unknown and don’t let ourselves be intimidated.
→ Courage to be courageous
❻ Ambitious
We work professionally and make high demands on the quality of our work and that of our partners. We pursue our goals with great conviction and acquire in-depth knowledge. If it’s labeled B-Sides it contains quality content.
→ Quality before quantity
❼ Diversity
We promote creativity across all genres and are unbiased. We like to discover new things and are open to innovative ideas and suggestions. To promote diversity, we think in an interdisciplinary manner and outside the box.
→ B-Sides not A-Sides.
