Our goal is to be a role model for those working in the arts and culture. That’s why we advocate inclusion, openness and the courage to try something new. Because this works best together, we are more than happy to share our principles so that they can be used successfully by others.
❶ Cooperative
We promote networking and community. We share our expertise with each other, we support each other, and we don’t exclude anyone. We offer each other help and learn from each other.
→ Together instead of alone
❷ Meaningful
We act thoughtfully and reflect on the way we work. When we do something, we always do it with a goal in mind and a desire to add value. Our actions should be meaningful and make a difference. Sometimes only for individuals, but more often for several or quite a few.
→ Reflect and generate value
❸ Responsible
We act in a socially, economically and ecologically sustainable manner. We make our decisions consciously and justifiably. In order to make a difference in the long term, we inform ourselves and constantly learn.
→ Conscious and well-founded
❹ Respectful
Respect is the basis for moving forward together. We meet each other at eye level and see the other person as an equal. Every opinion should be heard and every person given a chance. Trust is important to us. Our interaction is conducive to dialog, non-violent and equal.
→ With each other instead of against each other
❺ Courageous
We dare to take risks and accept failure. We are not discouraged by mistakes, but learn from them. We tackle the unknown and do not allow ourselves to be frightened.
→ Courage to be brave
❻ Ambitious
We work professionally and set high standards for the quality of our work and that of our partners. We pursue our goals with great conviction and acquire sound expertise. Where B-Sides is written on it, quality is in it.
→ Quality before quantity
❼ Diverse
We encourage creativity across genres and are unbiased. We like to discover new things and are open to innovative ideas and suggestions. To promote diversity, we think interdisciplinary and not along boundaries.
→ B-side instead of A-side
